The Oilers (and Oilers fans) need to update their goaltending. Almost nothing else they have done in this preseason will matter if they enter the season with Koskinen and Smith....The goalie market appears to have dried up...except for one goalie..
Ken Holland and Jim Nill go way back in Detroit. You know they are talking. for sure. The Stars have one extra goalie and Anton Khudobin appears to be that keeper. A great fit for the Oilers, because he is a major playoff performer. However, in order to make this move the Oilers have to move Koskinen and that won't be easy...but I am told the Coyotes and Sabres could be swayed to take on Koskinen as long as some salary is eaten AND something else is put in to sweeten the pot..
Team Elected Arbitration...
Two players, The Wild's Kevin Fiala and the Flyers Travis Sanheim are being taken to arbitration by the teams...Both are MAJOR players and important keys..It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Colorado has signed D Ryan Murray to a 2 year deal...Very sneaky great move...
