Guerin Trades Up to Snag Wallstedt

Jesper Wallstedt is the newest Wild goaltender as Bill Guerin swapped the pick 21 and pick 90 to move up and take the highly touted Swedish netminder.

Wallstedt is 6'3" and 225lbs and projects to be a starting NHL goalie. Now projecting any 18 year old as an NHL player is a crapshoot and a goalie that much more difficult, but all signs point to the Wild having their goalie of the future now in the system.

With pick #25 the Wild selected Carson Lambos defenseman from Winnipeg of the WHL. Lamb's projects as a top pair defenceman. The NHL comparison that has best been associated with Lambos is Alex Pietrangelo of Vegas Golden Knights.

Again we will see how these two newest Wild prospects mature into future NHL players...
