Full rumor chart update this afternoon...

But currently I am chasing a rumor that the Sabres are closing in on a MAJOR deal. I do not believe it to be involving Jack Eichel like others are speculating, but rather Sam Reinhart. I know one of the teams they are talking to is Seattle.

Reinhart, the No. 2 overall pick from the 2014 NHL Draft, is coming off a 2021 campaign that included a career-high 25 goals. Overall, the 6-foot-2 center has totaled 134 goals and 295 points in 454 games over seven seasons with the Sabres. And like Eichel, Reinhart has expressed a desire to move on from the Sabres after yet another losing season.
