According to three sources now, the Penguins first choice to bolster their position in goal may be someone Brian Burke is VERY familiar with. Freddy Andersen. There is little doubt that the Penguins are looking to upgrade and feel they are just a goalie away from a serious Cup run....My sources are all aligning in saying the Penguins first call will be to Andersen...perhaps even moving for his rights...
The future of Grubauer in Colorado...
Grubauer more than proved to the league he can be a legit #1 for someone, however he did come up somewhat small when the big save was needed by Vegas...I am hearing Colorado wants very much to retain him, however, as a UFA it is entirely possible that they won't be able to go as high as some others...Especially if they throw themselves into the Seth Jones sweeps....
I have heard the Leafs have serious interest, but only if they can move some money out prior....
