Hello all and sorry for being AWOL, life taking center stage in last two weeks. I am sorry for that.
With that said I also want to share some good news for the New Jersey Hockeybuzz community. I am working on adding some help with content for you all and this summer we will be putting together a new body of work and format. (any suggestions welcome)
Keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement once details are ironed out.
With a handful of games left the goal continues to be "development" of this young team.
I also think Fitz will be graded on "asset management" come this offseason. After all, the Devils have struggled to keep fans happy for some time. Today they have arguable the best group of young talent since the Lamoriello/Conte days. I would say the best pools of youth ever.
The Devils have a 2-3 year period to right the ship and, at the very least, give fans a playoff birth.
Onto the Bruins and New Jersey's last home game of the season.
We have seen a lot of youth step in. Nice to see Greer infuse some toughness into this lineup, does he have a place on this team next season? Remains to be seen but he is trying to carve out a role.
Here is a burning question; Before the season is over...is there anyone you want to see get some NHL experience?
For me it was Foote. Check.
Then it was Bahl. Check.
Holtz, Moynihan and Mukhamadullin are my top 3.
But I would love to see Okhotyuk get a flavor and some games.
