The New York Islanders signed forward Collin Adams to a two-year, entry-level contract yesterday, worth an AAV of $800,000. The deal will begin with the 2021-22 season.

Adams is turning 23 years old later this month and was originally selected by the Islanders in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Draft. He’s spent the last four seasons playing in the NCAA with the University of North Dakota and this year, he registered 14 goals and 34 points in 29 games. With North Dakota, Adams played alongside NHL prospects in Jake Sanderson, Jacob Bernard-Docker, and Shane Pinto, among others.
Adams is likely to spend next season with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
