The blue line just got a bit thinner. Detroit sent Jon Merrill (and his killer lettuce) to Montreal for a fifth round pick and Hayden Verbeek. Pat, have you got a spare room? With Victor Mete on waivers, any thoughts on if Yzerman should grab him?

Less than a day After Detroit beat Carolina 5-4 in OT, Danny Dekeyser and Alex Biega are both on waivers. There’s not much concern of Dekeyser being grabbed, not sure if Biega would be either. Possibly just Yzerman getting some flexibility to take on a contract or roster player. More to come.
