The Los Angeles Kings have placed forward Martin Frk on waivers.

Frk has played just one game with the Kings so far this season, while dealing with injury trouble. The forward is 27 years old and had six goals and eight points in 17 games with the Kings last season. He has one year remaining on his contract, worth $725,000.

ANALYSIS

I’m not a fan of this decision and I don’t think it would be shocking to see Frk get claimed. He’s still young enough and at an AAV of just $725,000 for the next year and a half, someone may take a chance on him. He can score goals and has one of the hardest shots in hockey to help him do it. I still think Frk could make for a decent third-line option and for a team lacking depth up front, claiming him could be a pretty low-risk, high-reward gamble to take.
