Hey TentaClan!!

After a brief hiatus we are back with our second go around of the Seattle Expansion Draft! Once again, here is the criteria.

- The proper protection numbers (7/3/1, 4/4/1, etc)
- The 2 Forwards, 1 Defenseman, and 1 goaltender that meet exposure requirements

As well:

1.) I am opening the floor to trades this time around. GM's may approach me with offers of picks and other players with the condition to not select certain players.

2.) This time I will not be making a pick at the end of each blog. I will wait until I have all 30 lists before I start to reveal the team that I am drafting for Seattle.

Lastly I will not be doing this in any particular order because chaos is fun.

Today I have decided to start with a good friend of mine. Originally the two of us had our differences but we ended up sitting down in a room together over a few drinks and really both grew as individuals. I am so please to welcome my good friend, the Oilers blogger Sean Maloughney.

Sean's list has assumed a few additional details; the extension of three RFA's in Dominik Kahun, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Tyler Benson. Perhaps the most surprising name on here is 22 year old Stuart Skinner who is being protected as a goalie as opposed to Mikko Koskinen. That's just my opinion and clearly Sean has his own.

Sean and I did discuss some potential trades but ultimately we decided against it.

Looking right now the most likely enticing names from Edmonton are some of their young exposed defensemen in Caleb Jones and William Lagesson. Both men have played some good minutes for Edmonton this season, with Jones being more of a puck mover while Lagesson plays a better shutdown game.

Sorry Oilers fans but I will not be considering taking Zack Kassian or James Neal unless I feel Seattle really needs to reach that cap floor.

Up front the Oilers have all of their main scoring threats locked up leaving only players who would make for strong depth options and PK specialists. Jujhar Khaira is one name to watch as the 26 year old is an RFA this season and has effectively been the Oilers third line centre, producing 8 points at 5 on 5 which has all been done away from Edmonton's key guys.

What do you think of this list? Who would you take from the Edmonton Oilers and if you were in Edmonton's shoes would you offer any trades to Seattle to protect anyone? I look forward to reading your comments.
