The San Jose Sharks played four games this week and had a player suspended. Here’s a recap of news and notes from the week.

SHARKS WIN ONE OF FOUR GAMES

The Sharks won one of four games this week, splitting a series with the Colorado Avalanche, before losing back-to-back games against the Vegas Golden Knights. San Jose currently holds an 8-11-3 record.

BLICHFELD SUSPENDED TWO GAMES

Forward Joachim Blichfeld was suspended for two games, following a hit on Nathan MacKinnon in his season debut. Blichfeld sat out for both of San Jose’s games against Vegas as a result of the suspension, while MacKinnon has missed two games due to the hit.

SORENSEN ADDED TO COVID PROTOCOL LIST

Forward Marcus Sorensen was added to the league’s COVID Protocol list, joining Tomas Hertl as the only members of the team on the list. Sorensen played in only the first game of the week, against the Colorado Avalanche.
