Some intruging match-ups tonight, with ten games set to go! As always the Pens/Caps are great games with two of the games biggest starts going at it with Ovechkin and Crosby. Then you got Carolina and Tampa Bay who are tied for second in the Central Division squaring off the second straight night. Add in three big North Division tilts and you got the makings for a great night of hockey! Calgary plays Ottawa for the first time this season and these two teams will battle it out 5 of the next 6 games!! Habs take on Winnipeg with their new head coach and play each other as well for the first time this season. While the red hot Oilers having won 7 of their last 8 games, take on a reeling Canucks team.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 31-18! Florida, Washington, Detroit, Columbus and Vancouver fits the system tonight.
Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 12-13 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Canes/TB and Dallas/Florida fit the system tonight.
Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 45-32 in that situation.

Dallas/Florida – 3rd game in 4 nights between these teams, split the first 2 and both went under the total.
Flames/Sens – Flames playing 3 in 4 nights on the road while Ottawa sat rested last night, with the Flames playing 2 highly emotional games. These two teams play each other 5 of the next 6 games, including the next 3 in Ottawa.
Devils/Sabres – Buffalo has won 3 of the 4 against NJ this season.
CLB/Chicago – Hawks have won 3 of the first 5 meetings head to head. In each 2 game series with these two this season, the team that wins the first one, loses the next one!
Preds/Wings – Preds have won 2 of 3 head to head this season. Wings have been good in rebound games this year after losing the first one in head to head match ups.
Habs/Jets – Habs playing first game with new HC and are a very strong road this year. I like to play the new coaches angle anytime you have a new HC coaching in his first game.
Oilers/Canucks – Canucks blew 3-0 lead only to lose 4-3 in OT just 2 nights ago. Oilers are 8-2 last 10 games, while Canucks are the reverse 2-8 last 10 games.
