The Anaheim Ducks will look to rebound in a rematch against the Arizona Coyotes tonight, after blowing a three-goal lead on Monday, on route to a 4-3 regulation loss.

The Ducks dominated in the first period, going up 2-0 after outshooting the Coyotes 16-8. They took a 3-0 lead early in the second period and really looked to be in control. Three quick goals in the second period sunk the Ducks, however, before the Coyotes took the lead in the third period and didn’t look back. John Gibson couldn’t come up with the key saves he needed to and Darcy Kuemper was the better netminder.

The key event of the night was Trevor Zegras making his NHL debut. He was fairly involved, making a great pass on the power play that Rickard Rakell couldn’t convert on and then he had a good opportunity to tie it late in the third period but couldn’t capitalize. Zegras led the Ducks in corsi for percentage, shots for percentage and expected goals for percentage, according to NaturalStatTrick.com.

Overall, it was a pretty good performance by the Ducks and they were the better team for most of the game. They’ll have a chance to bounce back tonight, in the second half of their series against Arizona. Forward Carter Rowney won’t be available for the game, as he deals with a lower-body injury and joins several other players currently out for the Ducks.
