When Marc Bergevin signed Tyler Toffoli in early October, he managed to do it at a cap friendly price and so far, that signing is looking like a sound investment. Number 73 inked a 4-year deal which will bring him $4.25 M per season, but he’s still clearly hungry for goals and he had himself quite a week. Thanks to his 5 goals and 3 assists in the last 4 outings, he was named the first start of the week by the NHL, needless to say, Habs fans agree with the nomination.
In other news, while the pandemic has rendered it impossible for fans to attend the team’s practice in Brossard and do some autograph hunting as the players arrive and leave the grounds, there are some compagnies out there who are still able to secure some private signing events. Today, Memorable Authentic had such a session with Brendan Gallagher. Of course, in the current situation, it wasn’t a big even and only their company’s representative, Gallagher and his agent were present, and masks and hands sanitizer were mandatory. It’s nice to know that Gallagher spends one of his rare days off these days signing autographs. If you’re a collector, you might be interested to know that Memorable Authentic will be holding private signings with Tyler Toffoli (February 5th) and with Alexander Romanov (February 8th). Quand Marc Bergevin a signé Tyler Toffoli au début d’octobre, il a réussi à le faire à un salaire raisonnable considérant la situation du CH quant à la masse salariale et à date, cette signature semble être un bon investissement. Le numéro 73 recevra 4.25 millions par saison pour les 4 prochaines années, mais en tant que marqueur, il est clairement toujours affamé et il s’est payé toute une semaine. Grâce à ses 5 buts et 3 passes lors des 4 derniers matchs, il a été nommé première étoile de la semaine par la ligue, nul besoin de dire que les fans du CH sont d’accords.
Dans un autre ordre d’idée, bien que la pandémie a eu pour effet d’empêcher les fans d’aller assister aux entraînements à Brossard et de s’adonner à la chasse aux autographes quand les joueurs arrivent et quitte le complexe sportif Bell, il y a encore quelques compagnies qui sont en mesure de tenir des séances de signature privée avec les joueurs. Aujourd’hui, Memorable Athentic en tenait justement une avec Brendan Gallagher. Bien sûr, compte tenu de la situation actuelle, ce n’était pas un gros évènement, seul leur représentant, Gallagher et son agent était sur place et masque et Purrel étaient obligatoires. C’est bien de voir que Gallagher occupe une de ses rares journées de congé en signant des autographes pour les fans et collectionneurs.
