Short and to the point - no fluff. That’s how Bill Zito delivered the Panthers pick tonight (12th overall) in the 2020 Entry Level Draft.

Anton Lundell, C, 6’1”, 185 lbs

From Elite Prospects:

“Everything about Lundell's game is methodical and calculated, always thinking two or three steps ahead of his opponents at any given moment. He is an eager combatant in puck battles with a track record in those contests that match his enthusiasm. Rare is the moment where Lundell is out of position, and you'll never have to worry about him fleeing the zone early.”

I was kind of hoping they would shake things up and trade the pick, but depth down the middle is never a bad thing. Liking what the above description has to say about him - always good to have a thinking man out there.

Let this guy learn from fellow countryman, Barky, but hope he develops his own game and brings a different dynamic at the center position.

Excited to see what he can do. How do you guys feel?

Checkout this SportsNet article for a detailed breakdown of Lundell and some highlights.
