The Summer of Stanley is over.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are the 2019-2020 Stanley Cup Champions after defeating the Dallas Stars in 6 games to end what I believe has been the greatest hockey tournament in NHL history. We may never be able to enjoy a playoff like this one again. Where we see 24 teams participate and EVERY game televised in its own unique time slot, with games running from noon until 1:30 am on some days... I fully feel years from now we will remember this “Return to Play” as the absolute best time of hockey during this incredibly tough time in our world.

In the end, they played without fans and they played without being able to leave their bubble.

The NHL and their players gave us a huge gift with these playoffs at a time when our society needed something to distract us and they came up with an absolute gem…

In the end, the best team in the NHL won the Stanley Cup tonight, and years and years from now we will all be able to quickly remember who won the Cup the year we were in quarantine…

The Tampa Bay Lightning are 2019-20 Stanley Cup Champions. No Bullets or Asterisks...Just a Cup they are taking from Edmonton to South Western Florida…

Time to hit the rumors full tilt. Time's a wasting!
