Here is my movie pitch....

A guy who has NEVER missed a game due to injury, Andrew Cogliano, gets hurt and can't play in Game 7 for a Dallas Star team that struggled all season but somehow in the midst of a pandemic finds themselves in a game 7 against a powerhouse team with arguable the best player in the world, Nathan MacKinnon.

The Stars last minute put in a 24-year-old undrafted kid from Vantaa Finland who signed with the team after an impressive World Championship Tournament the Stars were scouting last year while the 2018-19 NHL playoffs were happening...

Joel Kiviranta played 11 NHL games this season and scored once. He had no assists.

Today, his name is in the NHL Record Books with Wayne Gretzky and Esa Tikkanen as the ONLY players in NHL history to score a hattrick in a game 7.

Oh and let's have his second goal of the game be the goal that ties the game with 3 minutes to go to send the game to Overtime...And, since this is Hollywood....He will complete the hattrick in Overtime.

Can anyone out there name a better sports playoff underdog story?
