In a surprise to no one, the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee did not elect Shane Doan to the Hall of Fame.

But it's a surprise that it didn't happen, given the fact that the Old Boys Club includes both Brian Burke and Pierre McGuire, meaning you never know what wacky hi-jinks are going to go down.

Unless, by "Wacky Hi-jinks" you mean select the correct players, then that is never happening.

On to the good part:

Coyotes Top 50 Players of All-Time

When last we spoke, I named Nikolai Khabibulin the 12th greatest player in Coyotes history.

Today, coming in at #11 is the legend himself, Mike Smith.

The man with the name so generic that he earned the fake nicknames "The Human Khaki"
and "The Beige Prince" leads the Coyotes with 312 games played by a goalie.

Smith played in Arizona for six years and is their most successful playoff goalie ever (though that is like calling me the best Coyotes blogger of all time. (And anyways it's not even true - I love you Frenchy!)

#11: Con Air

Starring Nick Cage, Con Air is one of the action movies ever. Hell, it's one of the best movies ever.

The 11th one to be sure.

From John Cusack's tan suit, to the ill-advised 20 minute add-on, to Steve Buscemi to the second worst accent of Cage's career (see Corelli, Captain) this is just a flat-out awesome movie.

Good news: it's not even the best movie I think Nick Cage has been in.

Stay tuned.
