1) In several upcoming Sunday feature articles on the Flyers' official website, we will be looking at various aspects of the Flyers' systems and the adjustments that made over the course of the season. As a lead-in to the first two segments, which will look individually at the team's power play and penalty kill, here's a statistical month-to-month look at the bottom line of the team's performance in each area this season as well as their composite special teams numbers.

2) In this week's edition of "Therien's Take" on the Flyers' official website, Chris Therien discusses the big decisions looming for the NHL in determining the fate of the 2019-20 season.

How lengthy of a training camp would be needed? If there are any postponed regular season games rescheduled, how motivated could a team like the Detroit Red Wings (42 points below the playoff cutoff) possibly be to go through a training camp just to play a few more games before they go home again?

Chris also points out that one of the big questions to answer in any scenario where the season would be completed is what the contingency plan would be during a playoff series if a single participating player tests positive for Covid-19. Does that force the entire team back into self-quarantine? How about the opposing team? Would such an occurrence, if it were to happen, shelf a series.

The NHL and NHLPA, of course, are completely aware of these, and many other, questions that would have to be answered in any return-to-action scenario.

4) The Flyers Warriors video meeting series arranged during the pandemic by Brad Marsh -- regularly featuring Flyers Alumni guests -- have been stellar. The usual format is that, on Wednesdays, there is a guest speaker discussing a specific topic. On Fridays, things are more open-ended throughout and there's a "Happy Hour" guest. Last Friday, it was Hockey Hall of Fame defenseman Mark Howe. This Friday, the guest was Flyers Hall of Fame center Dave Poulin.

4) The Flyers individual player profile series continues on Saturday on the Flyers' site. Today, the focus will be on Derek Grant.

5) Today in Flyers History: April 18, 2010

Daniel Carcillo's goal at 3:35 of overtime, sends the Flyers to a 3-2 victory and a two games to one lead over the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. With a New Jersey penalty about to expire, Mike Richards won a left circle faceoff cleanly, and the puck was sent around to Simon Gagne behind the net. Gagne furthered it to Richards, who was denied by Martin Brodeur on a stuff-in try reaching around to the left post. Flyers captain Richards kept the play alive, poking the puck to a wide-open Carcillo at the opposite post for a tap-in goal to win the game. Claude Giroux and Richards scored in regulation. Brian Boucher made 17 saves in earning the victory.

6) April 18 Flyers Alumni birthdays:

* 1970s center Blake Dunlop was born April 18, 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario.

* Fan-favorite power forward Scott Hartnell was born April 18, 1982 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

* Depth forward Boyd Kane was born April 18, 1978 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

* Rugged defenseman-turned-winger Dan Kordic was born April 18, 1971 in Edmonton, Alberta.
