Rumor: One “Mulligan Buyout” when we return; Who would you?

I was talking to some NHL people over the weekend and there is a rumor going around that if the NHL doesn’t return this season, and the cap stays flat, teams will be awarded one “mulligan buyout” which would allow them to essentially buy out one of their current contracts as per usual, however, the entire contract would then be off the salary cap moving forward. So no penalty at all. Even over 30 contracts. This would really help teams out and generate cap space to allow teams to make signings this summer and also put more UFAs into the marketplace. Really a win/win and a way of essentially opening up cap space without raising the cap.

What do you think of this idea? Who would you chose to buyout on your team? I will list mine later on....
