The 46th Best Coyotes player of all time is...........envelope please............
.......Daymond Langkow.

You may or may not remember Langkow, the player who may have the single worst name in NHL history.

Who is called "Daymond"? Damon, Damien, OK that's fine........literally any variation is better than Day-Mond. The Y? the D? It's a stylistic nitemare.......although, I'm sure, completely irrelevant.

OK where was I?

Langkow was the 5th overall pick in 1995, and despite not being a star player, he actually had a pretty awesome career. He played over 1000 games and got nearly 700 points.

In his prime, he had eight straight 50 points seasons, and it would have been nine, but in the last year of the streak he finished with 49 points in 72 games.

Probably Langkow is the kind of player that only fans of Tampa, Philly and Arizona (maybe the Flames too) really remember fondly.

He played three seasons with Phoenix in his prime, then came back in 2011 (the best year in franchise history) to finish his career.

Langkow's 196 points rank him 11th in team history.

He is 9th in goals.

But #46 in our hearts.

Top 50 Movies of All Time

So far we counted down:

50. Limitless
49. Oh Brother Where Art Though?
48. Role Models
47. the Rock

and Today we arrive at the 46th best representation of life committed to celluloid:

The Mission Impossible Franchise

It's my list, so I am counting all six movies here.

The first one is a stone-cold classic, a movie that has no respect for it's audience and trades masks until its impossible to follow (the first time you see it, it's a very confusing movie).

Repeated viewings reveal it to be the single greatest spy movie ever filmed.

Frankly, it's amazing they've been able to make six of these and keep the quality so high. Fast and the Furious, this is not.

Cruise is a great lead, but everyone is perfectly cast, specifically Vin Rhames and Simon Pegg.

The best film of the series is the one with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who you don't see in too many action films. It's the next best thing to getting Daniel Day Lewis to star in Con-Air 2, Back to the Air.

Seriously, how the hell did they get Phillip Seymour Hoffman into one of these movies? It's like Mozart guesting on a track by Hammer.

Ghost Protocol is another Highlight, and not just for having the best title in film history.

What about that time Cruise had to swim for 20 minutes underwater? The time he scaled a giant building in Dubai?

In a ____ sandstorm, ____!

The soundtrack song by U2?

Is there no end to the highlights of this series?

Even the worst of the series - #2 - is still a fantastic action movie.

The Mission Impossible series one of the greatest franchises of all-time, and we are supposed to get three more films.

I can't wait until film 9, Shady Acres Protocol, which features Ethan Hunt trying to break out of the assisted living facility he's living in. But wait, the mean nurse is really a spy! She's testing memory altering drugs on unsuspecting seniors. Little does she know that Ethan Hunt will drop from the rafters into the room where they keep those little cups of jello!

Oh good times!
