Jared Spurgeon scored the game winner and sealed the deal with his third of the night into the empty net in the Wild's 5-3 come from behind victory in Edmonton. The win combined with Wednesday's shootout win over the Canucks in Vancouver have the Wild just 3 points out of the final playoff position.

Alex Galchenyuk is starting to become a factor with his new mates as he scored his first Wild goal Wednesday late in the third period to tie the game and then delivered the final dagger with his shootout winner. Galchenyuk followed up with another impressive outing last night where he was flying on the forecheck, throwing his body around, and dishing out two assists in the win

Kevin Fiala is continuing his meteoric rise scoring another highlight goal, giving him 16 on the season, and 7 goals and 12 points in the last 9. Fiala is undoubtedly the driving offensive presence in the Wild lineup, making last season's trade deadline deal a huge win for the Wild, with Granlund heading to UFA status in Nashville, mired in a mediocre season.

The trade deadline looms in just over 48 hours and Bill Guerin is working the phones. There is new speculation that Mikko Koivu and or Zach Parise could be in the discussion. Koivu either way looks to be playing his final games with the Wild even if not moved while Parise is a whole different story.

Both would have to waive their no trade clauses in order to take a shot at the elusive Stankey Cup run. Most likely neither will be moved given the circumstances, however Guerin is not ruling out anything as he works his way into making this team his own.
