Kase dealt to Boston, Kreider deal close

BREAKING NEWS - Boston has traded David Backes (retaining 25% of his $6 Million salary), prospect Axel Andersson and their 2020 first round pick to Anaheim for forward Ondrej Kase.

Kase is signed for another year at $2.6 Million and is a restricted free agent after the 2020-21 season.

I have a feeling it is going to be a long, long night... The Friday night before the Trade Deadline has a tendency to be a time when some of the toughest moves are made.

It really looks like the Rangers have a deal they could make, a deal they feel they have to make, and right now the Avalanche are getting in on this and maybe the deal is even better.. Either way, if Kreider isn't moved today it will appear way more likely that he will be signing in NY and staying..."
