I'll just leave this here.

What an incredible feat; Patrick Kane has 1,000 career points.

We have been so lucky to have a player like Kane fall into our hockey lives as Blackhawks fans.

When I think about the most memorable moments from #88, I can't help but think about his clutch play in the postseason. Playoff talk is a nice segue due to the recent playoff of the Blackhawks.

Another win vs. Winnipeg Jets at home on Sunday night. A 5-2 victory has propelled the Hawks into 5th spot in the Central Division and 3 points out of the 2nd WC seed.

If you listened to my appearance on The-Rink podcast, you would have heard me say that I didn't think the Hawks had it in them to go on a winning streak.

Well, surprise, surprise, this team continues to be a mystery.

Winners of their last 5 games and a 7-3-0 record over their last 10.

The Hawks made my weekend a lot easier by taking down the Leafs 6-2 on Saturday night. I was surrounded by Maple Leafs faithful, so I was able to rub it in their face a bit.

This impressive run has been fuelled by the likes of the hottest rookie in the NHL, Kubalik, a determined Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane of course, outstanding goaltending and a penalty kill unit that is now 6th in the entire league.

There are other key ingredients as well during this hot stretch and it's only getting better as the Hawks are getting healthier. Brandon Saad's return has been a welcomed sight to their depth and Dylan Strome looks to be getting closer.

The chemistry on this team is at it's best I've seen in years and if they keep this up, the playoff talk is going to heat up.

This week finishes off with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. After that, the All-Star festivities kick in and the Hawks are off until February 1st.

The return of Joel Quenneville should be a good one in Chicago and I'm looking forward to seeing that moustached man again.

I'll have more as the week goes on but want to hear from you all on the message boards – are you on the playoff train or are you of the belief that this team needs to just tank out and rebuild?

Lastly, In case you want more Kaner highlights, I will leave you with this great compilation (courtesy of AP's Highlights):
