Coming off a loss in New York, the Carolina Hurricanes will look to get back on track against the Nashville Predators tonight. Here’s the pre-game report.
The Predators have gotten off to a slower start than many would have expected, holding just a 11-9-4 record in their first 24 games. Goaltending has been an issue for the team thus far– Pekka Rinne, who’s expected to start tonight, enters just game with a brutal .889 save percentage.
Kyle Turris is expected to scratched again, while Viktor Arvidsson remains out with an injury. Nashville is just 3-5-2 in their last 10 games.
Petr Mrazek is expected to start for Carolina and has struggled recently. I thought they’d maybe give James Reimer a chance to see if he can do any better but I guess not. It also looks like Haydn Fleury will be in again for Trevor van Riemsdyk. Andrei Svechnikov will try to increase his point streak to 10 games.
The Hurricanes won both of their meetings against the Predators last season, outscoring Nashville 11-6 in the process.
