We all have a lot to be thankful for throughout the years. In the case of the Vegas Golden Knights, they are thankful for finally getting Malcolm Subban a win on Wednesday night. They are also thankful for snapping their three-game losing streak in Nashville and finally, they're thankful for Jonathan Marchessault's strong forecheck that lead to Max Pacioretty's game-tying goal, preceeding the Paul Stastny winner.

For some fun, on Thanksgiving, I pulled aside two of the American players on the Golden Knights, Alex Tuch and Stastny, for their thoughts on the holiday.

Side Note: Stastny also claims both Canada and his Slovakian roots, but he's an American Olympian - in both 2010 and 2014 - and knows all about the holiday.

Rank Among Holidays:

JP: Scale of 1-10, one being the worst, where do you rate Thanksgiving?

Alex Tuch: "Oh! Two! Like second or third? Christmas is my favorite."

Paul Stastny: "So you mean like nine or eight."

AT: "Yeah! It's a nine, only thing missing is presents!"

PS: "I like it cause there's no presents. You have a guaranteed four day weekend all the time, family/friends, football. As you get older, it's more of a tradition. Reminds you of family and friends, it's special for me."

AT: "Check on the fantasy football team, see how they're doin!"

Traditions:

JP: Any favorite Thanksgiving traditions?

AT: "My cousins and my brother and sister and I would always watch 'The Polar Express' growing up, every single year at my cousins' house."

JP: "Gonna watch it today?"

AT: "Ah....I don't know.....maybe!"

PS: "I don't have any. To me, it's more just hanging out. My wife and her family turned me into a Cowboy fan...."

AT: "Ew."

PS: "....and they always play on Thanksgiving so....When the Cowboys do well, the country and the economy does well! Even if you're not a fan it's always fun to see them be relevant because they're always on national TV, but it (Thanksgiving) always makes me think of the Salvation Army and giving back. To me it's the kickoff to the holiday season and I think this time of year is all about being with family and giving back to those who don't have much."

Foods:

JP: What's your favorite and least favorite Thanksgiving foods?

PS: "I don't like cranberries, at all, so to me that does nothing for me and then, pumpkin pie as a dessert and for the course either mashed potatoes or stuffing with the gravy. Anything with the gravy!"

AT: "I'm a big stuffing guy and honestly....I know I'll get a little hate for this....but I hate pumpkin pie. My grandma used to make this chocolate pudding pie, so that's my traditional pie."

Since it's Thanksgiving, we uploaded a new, short podcast where Crystal hypothesized how a Golden Knights Thanksgiving dinner would go. Who would play what role in the ordeal. Go check it out on your favorite podcast apps! Search for "The Vegas Hockey Buzz: A Golden Knights Pod".
