A quick stop at home for the Wild as the play host to the Avalanche before embarking on another three game road trip back to the east coast.

Devan Dubnyk is dealing with a family situation so Kaapo Kahkonen has been recalled in an emergency situation and will back up Alex Stalock tonight in the Wild net.

Stalock played very well Tuesday in the Wild 4-1 victory in Buffalo, stopping 30 of the 31 Sabres shots that he faced. The only goal he allowed came with Buffalo attacking late with goaltender Linus Ulmark pulled in favor of the extra attacker. Brandon Montour snapped in the rebound of a Jack Eichel shot, Stalock had little chance of making that save.

Matt Dumba who left Tuesday's game and did not practice yesterday appears to be good to go tonight.

Colorado has been a very difficult opponent for the Wild over the last two seasons creating all sorts of matchup issues with their speed and talent.

At home the Wild are a different team and they put their six game regulation unbeaten streak (4-0-2) to the test tonight.

The Avalanche, second in the Central Division, come into tonight's game having won five of six that comes on the heels of a five game losing steak.

Phillip Grubauer is expected to be between the pipes for the Avalanche.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
