The Carolina Hurricanes look to rebound from their first loss of the year, looking for a win against the Los Angeles Kings tonight. Here’s the pre-game report.

According to NHL.com’s Dan Greenspan, the projected lineup are:

CAROLINA HURRICANES

Nino Niederreiter - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Andrei Svechnikov - Jordan Staal - Brock McGinn
Ryan Dzingel - Erik Haula - Martin Necas
Warren Foegele - Lucas Wallmark - Brian Gibbons

Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton
Joel Edmundson - Brett Pesce
Jake Gardiner - Haydn Fleury

James Reimer
Petr Mrazek

LOS ANGELES KINGS

Alex Iafallo - Anze Kopitar - Dustin Brown
Jeff Carter - Blake Lizotte - Tyler Toffoli
Ilya Kovalchuk - Michael Amadio - Trevor Lewis
Kyle Clifford - Adrian Kempe - Austin Wagner

Ben Hutton - Drew Doughty
Alec Martinez - Sean Walker
Joakim Ryan - Matt Roy

Jack Campbell
Jonathan Quick

Brian Gibbons was recalled and will take Julien Gauthier’s spot in the lineup, playing right wing on the fourth line. Other than Gibbons, lines remain the same for the Hurricanes. Jack Campbell with start for the Kings, who are 2-3-0 to start the year. Jonathan Quick’s had a rough start to the year, so it’s not a huge shock to see Campbell in tonight. From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like there’s been a starter named for Carolina yet but you’d have to expect Petr Mrazek is back in.

This is a good opportunity for a bounce-back game from the Hurricanes. Looking at the lineups, Carolina certainly has the more well-rounded team on paper, especially on the blue line, where the Kings have quite a few new faces. While the Hurricanes didn’t necessarily have a poor game against the Blue Jackets, it certainly wasn’t their best effort. The Kings aren’t a contender and it would be great to get a win to start the West Coast road trip.

Puck drop is at 10:30 p.m.
