Coyotes Looking for Second Goal in Third Game

The NHL season is over a week old, and while the Leafs started the season with four games in six nights, the Coyotes had a second off-season and will play just their third game tonight.

Besides keeping the team on the sidelines for half a week, the schedule maker was even more of a jerk by giving them Boston and then Vegas - two of the NHL's four best teams.

For some reason, I've watched every game the Knights have played this year, and they look outstanding. The Ducks must hate the fact that hey kept Fowler over Theordore who has legitimate Norris potential.

Outside of Toronto, it's hard to think of a team with a better group of forwards than Vegas with Mark Stone (a top 5 player in the NHL) Cody Glass, and Max P (not even gonna try it) on one line, then Johnny M (again, not gonna even try) Reilly Smith and William Karlsson on the second line.

Marchy and Smith are two of the NHL's most underrated players and Vegas is a blast to watch.

Not exactly the best team to face if you're off to a bad start, and the Coyotes are definitely off to one of those.

Luckily, their break gave me a chance to watch the Mindhunter, which is a show on par with the Sopranos, Game of Thrones and the Wire. And they can't delete this while claiming it's not hockey related because the star of the show is Jake Gardiner.

The guy doubles as one of the NHL's best players and one of TV's greatest actors. Amazing.

Where was I?

Oh yeah, I was about to make fun of the Coyotes for scoring less goals in two games as Auston Matthews routinely scores in a period.

With Marc Andre Fleury in net, and playing against the Best in the West ("whatever you say, Mr. Billboard!") there is a good chance the Coyotes don't score again tonight.

Then again, the Generals are due. ("Let me get this straight - you talk all the money you made franchising your name and bet against the Harlem Globetrotters?).

Only time will tell.
