The Anaheim Ducks have been sublime to begin this season, but the perfect start came in front of the hometown fans. The real fun begins with the Ducks set to hit the road with four games versus Eastern Conference foes.

Tonight's opponent, the Detroit Red Wings, offers an interesting challenge. They too are a club looking to get back to its winning ways. Like the Ducks, the Wings are 2-0 with solid victories against Nashville on the road and Dallas at home.

I'm not big on gameday previews, but here are three things to look out for tonight.

- The Ducks have not allowed more than a goal in each of its first two games The defense and goaltending have been lights out. The Red Wings are very top-heavy with the top line accounting for 8-of-9 goals scored this season. If Anaheim can slow down the trio of Tyler Bertuzzi, Dylan Larkin, and Anthony Mantha, I really like their chances for two points.

- Adam Henrique and Ryan Getzlaf broke through against the Sharks on Saturday night, but other notable Ducks have yet to crack the scoresheet. Most notably are Rickard Rakell and Jakob Silfverberg. Rakell has looked more free with the puck but it's not translating in point production. Same with Silfverberg. I fully expect both forwards to have big seasons and what better way to break out than on the road.

- The Ducks have been excellent on the PK, killing all five opportunities against. The power play has failed to convert on its three chances. The latter will play a significant role in the success of this road trip.
