As expected JT Brown was waived and Victor Rask is the 13 forward. The Rask contract of course was the deciding factor in the decision for Rask over Brown and for that matter the more intriguing Gerry Mayhew or even Drew Stafford.

The battle between Carson Soucy and Louie Belpedio initially has gone to Soucy who barring some other movement will begin the season with the Wild.

Some interesting names on the waiver wire following Monday's movement.

Josh Ho Sang, former Islanders 2014 first round pick, and former Penguin, Daniel Sprong (14 goals last season with the Ducks) are among the waiver wire surprises.

Does Guerin make a move?

UPDATE: Bill Guerin announced that Greg Pateryn will be lost for six weeks after undergoing bilateral core muscle surgery.
