Two weeks have been played in the KHL regular season and the league has announced their best players for week two.

The best goalie was Jakub Kovar (Avtomobilist), who won both his games last week. The Czech netminder posted a shutout in the game against Salavat Yulaev and helped Avtomobilist to achieve a SO win against Metallurg. Kovar had a saves percentage of 96.97% and a goals-against-average of 0.96. His shutout streak lasted 107 minutes and 45 seconds.

The best defenseman was Jesse Virtanen (Traktor), who had 3 (1+2) points in four away games last week. On Sep. 14, during a match against Kunlun Red Star, the Finnish international scored his first KHL goal that later emerged as the game-winner. Virtanen posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-5 (best figure of the week). He also blocked two shots from the opposition.

The best forward was Rafael Bikmullin (Neftekhimik), who scored 5 (4+1) points in three games last week (led the league). The 22-years-old forward scored points in each game and equaled his top KHL season. In the game against Avtomobilist, Bikmullin posted a hat trick – his first in his career and the first hat trick of the 2019-20 season.

The best rookie was defenseman Mikhail Gordeyev (HC Sochi), who posted a goal in three games last week. During the game against Vityaz, the blueliner scored his first KHL goal and helped his team reaching OT. Gordeyev ended the week with a plus-2 rating, two hits, three blocked shots, and an average time on ice of 14 minutes and 53 seconds.
