In this edition of the hotstove, we share our picks for the Jack Adams in 2019-20.

Rod Brind'Amour.

The Carolina Hurricanes opened up a lot of eyes last season. They not only earned a playoff spot, but made plenty of noise once they were in.

Brind'Amour helped put the Hurricanes back on the map and made them relevant again. What people want to see now is if they can sustain their success. I believe the Hurricanes can – they caved teams in at 5v5 last year and I think the current version of the roster is even better – but there are plenty of doubters out there.

This Hurricanes team is going to prove them all wrong once again. I am very confident saying they'll get back into the playoffs. If the goaltending is remotely decent, I actually think they'll be in the conversation for the Metro Division title.

Should that be the case, Brind'Amour has a really good shot at winning the Jack Adams.

Peter Tessier

This might be the hardest prediction of all how do you know who will do what this early on. Think of it this way- what team has the likelihood of having the best goaltending to make the coach look like a genius? It's funny how those two things, great goaltending and the Jack Adams seem to come together.

In that case let's go with Florida as Bobrovsky will take Quennville back to the top of the coaches pile with an incredible season.
