Evgeny Kuznetsov tests positive for Cocaine. Wake up call for NHL Players?

August 24, 2019, 11:48 AM ET [108 Comments]
Evgeny Kuznetsov has been suspended by the IIHF for four years after testing positive for cocaine ...it will not affect his NHL career, and he has come out and said the absolute right things, admitting he has an issue and the Caps are going to help him...

My hope is it affects many other NHL players as a wake up call to get help. The reality is Evgeny Kuznetsov is not the only NHL player battling substance abuse...whether it is alcohol, drugs or opioids/pain meds (which are such a bigger problem in pro sports than anyone wants to face) I really hope this situation spurs several to seek help.

What's the buzz?

Have any of you fought substance abuse and care to share your story?
