After a very interesting day yesterday, and so many questions coming in, I figure it's time to do another "What the Ek?" Blog. And I will answer as many questions as possible TODAY in a blog this afternoon...
A few quick updates...
On Travis Konecny...
It looks like a deal could be close for Travis Konecny...The Flyers have apparently been talking to a few teams about forwards via trade, but it appears that those talks have faded as a TK deal gets closer.
On Jake Gardiner...
A whole lot of silence, but one source has been telling me the same thing for weeks now..."Jake wants to stay a Leaf. He is willing to wait and see....there are other options out there...for sure."
On Patrik Laine...
It appears Laine's latest frustrating comments about a lack of talk has at least gotten the attention of the Jets. Chevy is notoriously tight-lipped and is one of the sharpest GMs in hockey so no one can be 100% sure at this point...I do expect Kyle Connor to get done sooner...
