According to the Athletic's Michael Russo, the Wild are looking at Mats Zuccarello with a five year deal over $6M annually and Ryan Hartman for two years just under $2M.

Zuccarello is a winner aside from the on ice production he brings an intangible that the Wild have been missing for as long as any of us can remember.

Ryan Hartman, the former first round pick of the Blackhawks, has been traded three times in his short NHL career. He is a player that plays the game with an edge and goes to the front of the net hard.

We will see if either of these potential signings pan out and what else Paul Fenton has up his sleeve.

The Wild need character change as well as the youth speed movement. Winning is a state of mind as much as it is talent.

I am anxious to see what happens tomorrow and beyond prior to October here in the State of Hockey.
