Quick Hits: June 26, 2019

1) The Flyers announced on Tuesday that they have issued qualifying offers to four of their prospective restricted free agents: defenseman Ivan Provorov and forwards Travis Konecny, Scott Laughton (arbitration eligible) and Nicolas Aube-Kubel. The organization declined to tender qualifying offers to forward Justin Bailey and ECHL defenseman Jacob Graves. Both players are now unrestricted free agents.

2) Retired former Wild and Flyers defenseman Nick Schultz, who played more than 1,000 games in the NHL, has been hired by the Flyers as part of the developmental coaching staff. Schultz is among the instructors at the organization's 2019 Development Camp.

The Flyers have also promoted two Phantoms staff members to the NHL team: Andy Rannells as assistant equipment manager and Dan Warnke as assistant strength and conditioning coach.

3) Power forward prospect Wade Allison, who suffered a torn ACL in January 2018, did not participate in last summer's Development Camp. He is on the ice with the other Flyers draftees and invitees this year but, after getting a late start to his 2018-19 season and being in an out of the lineup due to various injury issues (some of which were unrelated to his rehab from the knee surgery), said on Tuesday that he is still not at 100 percent.

"Maybe 85 percent. I don’t know. It bothers me still a little bit, more than I want. But we are headed in the right direction. It’s the best it’s felt since I’ve hurt it. But it is not normal yet. And it probably won’t be for a long time," Allison said.

"They told me it would be about 2 years before I feel about 100% on it and we are 17 months, so I still have a little bit left to go. But I feel better. I’m starting to get more confident on it, trust it more."

4) Today in Flyers History: On June 26, 2009, the Flyers acquired veteran superstar defenseman Chris Pronger from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Joffrey Lupul, Luca Sbisa, Philadelphia's 2009 and 2010 first-round Draft picks and a 2011 third-round pick. The Flyers also received minor league forward Ryan Dingle in the deal.

4) June 26 Flyers Alumni birthday: Brad Jones (1965).
