Draft day is finally here! Although the Senators won't be getting the 4th overall pick that they originally owned, they should still be able to get a decent player at 19th overall. There are tons of players in the 15-35 range that the Senators could take, and most of them I'd be pretty happy with getting. I'd be the happiest with getting Alex Newhook, but he will probably be taken by that point already.

The draft starts at 8 pm EST, and since it's in Vancouver, I'll be there for the whole first round. Because of that, I won't be able to provide a full analysis of Ottawa's pick and/or other moves that happen today until later tonight. I don't necessarily expect many big things to happen tonight for the Senators, but there's always the possibility to move up in the draft or move someone such as Cody Ceci.

Besides Newhook, I'd be pretty happy with forwards such as Bobby Brink, Ryan Suzuki, and Brayden Tracey, and defensemen such as Thomas Harley, Victor Soderstrom, Cam York, and Ville Heinola. But even outside of those players, there are still others who could be good selections at 19th overall.

I'm excited to have my first in-person draft experience, and I hope everyone enjoys the night! Who are you hoping that the Senators take?
