Nick Suzuki Proves He's one of the Best Players in the World

Yesterday's game was as exciting as they come, with team Canada winning the game vs Chekia 4-3 in overtime. The win came at a cost with Sidney Crosby leaving the game with an injury following a hit by Gudas.

Ironically enough, I wrote an article two weeks ago where I said Nick Suzuki reminded me a lot of Sidney Crosby. With the injury, Suzuki was put in Crosby’s spot and he did not disappoint. He played well in all situations, and was able to score the game tying goal with a beautiful tip with less than 4 minutes to go in the third period.

The country as a whole got to see what Nick Suzuki is all about as he plays with intelligence, poise, skill and determination. If Crosby is out for the semi-final game (I really hope not), Suzuki is more than capable to fill his shoes and play a bigger role for team Canada. He’s developing into one of the best centres in the NHL, and this Olympic experience will only solidify his status as one of the best players in the world.

Slafkosky is also turning head with his performance thus far. With 7 points in 4 games, Slafkosky is showing the world why he was the number one overall pick in 2022. He's taking over shits and is finally using his skill, size and hockey sense to his advantage, it's great to watch.

The semi final game vs Finland take place tomorrow at 10:40 AM ET. Hopefuly Sid the Kid is ready to go!
