Fitz gets to work, too late. Devils offense gets going in third, too late. Will this team string any wins together this season? It doesn’t even matter, because it’s too late.
The same old story returns as the Devils took a step forward with a three game Western Canada win streak and immediately lose two straight to suck any hope or life out of the fanbase yet again.
A Few Takeaways From Another Loss
◦ Gritsyuk and Hameenaho continue to look great. Both moving at all times. Finding soft spots of ice for scoring chances.
◦ Jack Hughes is flying. Still unable to finish and likely due to the injury on his top hand. Either way he deserves a lot of credit.
◦ This goaltending tandem just isn’t good. They dazzle at times, but rarely for a full 60 minutes. Almost never have good back to back starts.
◦ Return in Palat deal is Maxim Tsyplakov. A 6 foot 3 inch winger weighing 203lbs. 35 points last year in 77 games. Just 2 in 27 thus far. Considering what we’ve rolled out in the bottom six for years, I’d gladly give him a shot.
Really not much else worth saying here as it’s beating a dead horse. Let’s kick it around in the comments…
