He knows he's had a bad season. So no need to boo. This is a 22 year old defenseman, on the first year of a 7 year deal. A franchise cornerstone, being act to play over his head in an expanded role for most of the season. He has not yet lived up to the lofty expectations Devils fans have thrust upon him, but he's trending upward. This team has been in a state of disarray for months. Not many young D-men will thrive when their team is not. If you want to boo a Devils defenseman who makes $9m, pick the other one.
