The Flyers have moved the injured Ryan Ellis and his contract and a 6th round pick..to San Jose for...two players...
(LW) Carl Grundstrom.
Grundstrom, 27, was a Leaf second rounder in 2016, out of Sweden. He was an early star helping the Marlies in the AHL win the Calder Cup. He was traded to the Kings on 2019 for Jake Muzzin. He is considered an energy player, who reads the game well and plays the walls very well. He has not been a big scorer so far...but is solid two-way...
(D) Artem Guryev
Guryev, 23, was a Sharks 5th Rounder out of Russia. He had a great junior career with the Petes and the Generals. He is big and loves to hit..6'4"
This is an interesting depth trade and gets rid of Ellis' contract...
