Happy Friday, everyone. You may be seeing John Scott on the power play tonight vs. Toronto. You read that correctly.
It's not exactly what I was hoping for, but he's big enough to stand in front of the net, so maybe a puck will bounce off of him and into the goal.
Linus Omark is back in the lineup for his 2nd game as a Sabre. He'd like his name to be pronounced as Leen-us.
Omark on the flu: "I was puking and pooping." Not sure if that's the type of two way player the Sabres were looking for.
Moulson says he really enjoys playing in Buffalo and can see re-signing with the Sabres. I was surprised to hear this, but I wonder if he actually means it. Not that the Islanders were doing much better, but I would think Moulson would love to be back with Tavares.
Perhaps he does enjoy playing here and needed the change. If that is the case, I would like to see Buffalo sign him to an extension before the deadline approaches. I'd re-sign him for around $4 million.
Moulson has scored 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) in 24 games with the Sabres this season.
When you look at the Sabres salary cap and see that Ville Leino is the highest paid forward on the team, something is not right.
