With the trade deadline upon us the Islanders will move forward Thomas Vanek by the deadline which hits at 3pm today. Vanek was scratched last night in Winnipeg as the Islanders defeated the Jets 3-2 in overtime.
The Islanders were able to get in the win column but Islanders General Manager Garth Snow must win today. He must be able to add value for Vanek who will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. There have been conflicting reports of which teams are in on Vanek and who has dropped out. So much so that my head was spinning yesterday afternoon.
