Some hot rumors this morning.
The Hawks might end up solving their cap issue through deals with either the Flames, and/or the Wings. There have been conversations with both teams recently.
Also, the Maple Leafs are a possibility—although they are said to be hot for Patrick Sharp, and the Hawks have no plans to move Sharp at present.
The Hawks might also have kicked the tires on Columbus' Ryan Johansen, but the cap implications make any possibilities there unlikely. Bear in mind, cap dollars would almost definitely go the other way in any Johansen deal, but still the economics are not favorable to a team in the Hawks' situation.
