The King and The Power Rangers (rangers)

Henrik Freakin Lundqvist is now 5-1 in the 5 Game 7's that he has played in his NHL career.

Thanks, NBCSN

"The King" has only allowed 4 goals in his past 5 Game 7s.

Think about that for a minute. Lundqvist is 5-1 in Game 7s. His teammate Brad Richards is now 7-0 in his NHL career in Game 7's.

Incredible. Outstanding.

Lundqvist was his team's back bone as he gave his team dozens of keys saves when the Rangers needed it the most.

Last Thursday night, Rangers forward Marty St. Louis lost his mother unexpectedly to a heart attack. Since that time, Lundqvist and the Rangers are 3-0.

A pipe dream became a reality Tuesday night in Pittsburgh as the NY Rangers pulled off their improbable comeback from a three-games-to-one series deficit to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in a Game Seven for the ages.

The Rangers advance to their second Eastern Conference Finals in three years, where they will face the winner of the Boston Bruins-Montreal Canadiens series. Game 7 in that series will be played on Wednesday night in Beantown.

The series win was the first in Rangers franchise history in which they lost three of the first four games. They had been 0-16 when falling behind in a playoff series 3-1.

Lundqvist now owns the NHL record for winning his fifth straight Game 7.

"The King" is now 5-1 in six career Game Sevens. He made 35 saves in Pittsburgh. Lundqvist allowed only three goals total in Games 5throgh 7. Talk about a money goalie. That's why I call him "Hank The Bank".

The Rangers took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission on goals by Brian Boyle and Brad Richards.

Jussi Jokinen scored the lone goal for the Pens.

Words cannot express how much respect and admiration that I have for Martin St. Louis.

Talk about leadership and grace under pressure.

Try not to get choked up watching his post game interview conducted by HNIC's Cassie Campbell-Pascall after the Rangers eliminated the Pens in Game 7.

For St. Louis, its all about the team.

On the Pittsburgh side of the ledger, head coach Dan Bylsma may have likely coached his final game in Pittsburgh.

I would not be surprised if Pens ownership fires Bylsma. The Pens have under achieved in the playoffs ever since they won the Stanley Cup in 2009. Bylsma has not been able to advance his stacked, all-star team to another Cup Final since '09.

Barry Trotz to Pittsburgh?

Could happen.
