While checking into the Bruins/Oilers rumors over the past day I found out some rather interesting news. Yakupov is definitely in play and more teams than I would expect have interest and are preparing offers. I wouldn't say, nor would I ever say, a team is shopping a player. And in this case it is definitely not like that at all. This is more to the point that Edmonton has proven to be open to the idea and teams are aware and doing their homework.
So far I have heard about interest from NJ, Ottawa, and Anaheim. Oddly enough my sources in Boston say there is nothing to them going after Yakupov at this time... No word on what the return will need to be or how imminent anything is, however the same source who texted me that "Yakupov is VERY MUCH in play" said "The team's (Oiler's) open mindedness to this scenario could change dramatically with the onset of training camp."
