The two members of the Pittsburgh Penguins were positive factors for Canada as they cruised to a 2nd straight Gold Medal at the Olympic Winter Games. Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz both scored in the Gold Medal game to help Canada win 3-0.
Canada was dominant and unbeatable. They never trailed the entire tournament. They only allowed 3 goals. Their defense corp. set the stage for a defensive clinic and the willingness of their two way forwards sealed the dominance.
Congratulations to Canada that was hockey at its highest level possible.
Crosby and Kunitz both scored very nice goals in the Gold Medal game and were positive contributors for Canada throughout the tournament. Their play did not always provide tangible rewards on the scoresheet but they were affective and helped their team.
Sidney Crosby was consistently good and it is not a surprise that he was able to make a terrific play like the one he made for his goal today. Crosby created a blue line turnover and then it was off to the races. Goaltender Lundqvist didn’t know whether to cry or wind his watch.
