I am away from my PC but I just wanted to pass along a quick update and some team news in regards to the Islanders. Kevin Poulin gets the start in goal tonight and Eric Boulton will return to the lineup in place of Peter Regin.
Ryan Strome will join the team in Phoenix and he may play Thursday night. I'll have more on that tomorrow. Per the CBA the Isles were at their contract limit and they could not have Strome travel before Bouchard had cleared waivers. Bouchard has now cleared and has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Speaking of the Sound Tigers life after Strome meant their winning streak was stopped this afternoon as they lost to Albany by a score of 3-0.
As for last night we will get more into that tomorrow as I fully expect a similar outcome against the Sharks tonight. My advice for suffering Islander fans is to get a good nights rest.
