My picks for the first round were terrible, although if you read the article, you can see I was kind of making fun of the idea of making picks at all (which of course is what someone who went 2-6 would say!).
Anyways, you don't need me to tell you why it's silly to do anything but pick the favorite in 99% of cases (or if you do, you have bigger problems) and certainly we don't need to discuss the validity of "I have a feeling" type statements, but here are my second round picks.
And since I obviously suck at prognosticating (as, literally, so does every other person not using an advanced statistical metric of some sort to make predictions) I am going to do this in the style of Opposite George. Who do I think will win? I will just select the team I assume will lose. If I did that in the first round, I would have been 80% right and in line for a big pay day, so don't pay for betting advice or call Mrs.Cleo, cause I got you covered.
Montreal vs. Boston
My original idea was to take Montreal in seven, but then saw my record from last round. So, I am going to take Boston, and I think they can do it in a sweep.
NYR vs. Pittsburgh
I feel like its hard to bet against a team with the two best hockey players in the world on it. Yeah, that's right, when he's healthy I think Malkin is better than Toews or Tavares. I must be an idiot. Anyways, the Rangers -who I erroneously predicted would lose in four games to Philly - will dominate the Penguins. I think it's the culture. It might be the leadership. Hard to say, because maybe it's even the identity. Bottom line: The Rangers are going to dominate.
Anaheim vs. LA
I actually had to consult Mrs.Cleo on this one. Her number doesn't work anymore, but she lives behind the Domino's down the street. She told me her choice is the Ducks, but she cited the Flying V as the reason why. I don't know if I can trust her, since I think the Kings are a superior team and will play for the Cup. Obviously, if it comes down to it though, I gotta go with Cleo, since that's what Opposite George would do. Mortgage payment on the Ducks.

Chicago vs. the Wild
Talk about character! I am surprised Jonathan Toews ever loses a game, being as he's apparently so good at leadership. Just the other day they were about to lose to the Blues and he told his team "we can do it" and they did it. The guy is like Bruce friggin Springsteen without a guitar or (I assume) social conscience.
There is just no way the Wild can top this. Let's not even get into the fact that Chicago is absolutely stacked, because talent is negligible and Toews could lead my former Atom team (and we were "D Division Finalists") to the Cup.
So the clear choice is the Wild. Six games.
