Wow. A convincing win over the Bruins tonight.
Chad Johnson was in goal, the Sabres were badly outshot 36-23 and it's only one game. But, I have to say I'm impressed with how they played tonight.
Especially in the third period when it mattered most. After a nice goal from Drew Stafford, Brian Flynn made a perfect pass to Tyler Myers. So nice to see all three of those guys contribute. The Sabres could have played defensively after being up a goal, but they added insurance.
The game against Winnipeg was no fluke. Nolan and the Sabres are improving and now it's noticeable. The Sabres will play the Bruins again on Saturday, another interesting match.
The Sabres acquired Linus Omark from Edmonton while the game was going on. I did not see that coming and out of all the Oilers, I didn't expect Omark to be the one to come here. I may talk about him more tomorrow.
